Therapy is a place to slow down, be heard without judgement, and work through what's weighing on you — at your own pace, in your own words.
Anxiety, overwhelm, or a constant sense of dread that makes daily life harder than it should be. You might be functioning on the outside while feeling depleted inside.
Communication has broken down, trust has been shaken, or you're navigating a transition together — separation, parenthood, grief, or simply growing apart.
Maybe you understand why you react the way you do, but changing it feels impossible. Therapy helps connect insight to action — gently, over time.
Loss, trauma, burnout, identity questions, or a life change that has unsettled your sense of self. You don't need a diagnosis to deserve support.

We identify the thoughts and behaviours keeping you stuck, then practice new ways of responding — with compassion, not criticism. CBT is practical, structured, and one of the most researched approaches for anxiety and depression.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing helps the brain process difficult experiences that feel "stuck." It's particularly effective for PTSD, childhood trauma, and single-incident events.
For couples, EFT focuses on the emotional bond beneath conflict — helping you both feel safer, more understood, and better able to ask for what you need from each other.
You'll receive a brief intake form and consent documents by email. Take your time — there are no wrong answers.
We'll talk about what brought you in, your history, and what you hope to change. I'll explain how I work and we'll agree on goals together.
We start connecting patterns, exploring root causes, and trying small experiments between sessions. Pace is always yours to set.
Most clients attend weekly or biweekly. As things shift, we'll space sessions out and eventually discuss ending therapy when you feel ready.

I became a psychologist because I believe everyone deserves a space where they can be fully themselves — without performing wellness or rushing to fix things. My practice is grounded in warmth, rigour, and respect for your autonomy.
Before private practice, I worked in hospital mental health and university counselling centres. I work with adults and couples across anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship distress, and life transitions. I am fluent in English and Spanish.
A quiet, private space in Leslieville — designed to feel safe, not clinical.

I spent years telling myself I should be able to handle it. Elena never made me feel broken or dramatic. For the first time, I understood where my anxiety came from — and more importantly, what I could actually do about it. Therapy didn't fix everything overnight, but it gave me tools I still use every day.— M.K., individual client, 18 months
We were close to separation when we started couples work. Elena helped us stop the blame cycle and actually hear each other. We're not perfect — but we're honest now, and that changed everything. We still check in with her a few times a year.— J. & A., couples clients
You don't need to be in crisis. If something is persistently bothering you, affecting your relationships, sleep, or mood, or if you simply want support — that's reason enough.
Yes, with very limited legal exceptions (imminent harm to self or others, child abuse). I'll explain the full limits of confidentiality before we begin.
Yes — secure video sessions are available for individual and couples work. Many clients prefer the flexibility, especially for follow-ups.
Psychological services are covered by many extended health plans. I provide receipts for reimbursement. Check your plan for "registered psychologist" coverage.
The therapeutic relationship matters. If it's not the right fit, I'll help you find another provider — no awkwardness, no hard feelings.
Some clients come for 8–12 sessions with a specific goal. Others stay longer. We review progress regularly — you're never locked in.
